Joanne and Bob Collins formed Talking Parrot Productions in 2008. They had always enjoyed working together and realized their talents complimented each other. Both enjoy the digital world, Joanne in digital marketing strategies and Bob in video and still photography.
Joanne is not only a marketer graduating from Portland State University with a dual major in Marketing and Advertising, she is openly a techie. Because of her love of the latest in marketing she also completed the Digital Marketing Strategies Certificate Program from the Portland State Professional Development Center. She was always interested in Bob’s photography and assisted him often. Even being lucky enough to watch gold being poured or be at the finish line when Flo Jo set the world record in the 100 meters.
One of her best loved jobs was working in Corporate Marketing at RadiSys Corporation, a high-tech company in the Silicon Forest.
Joanne is heavily involved in volunteer work. She has held many volunteer positions over the last ten years such as Web Coordinator and Public Information Coordinator.
Bob picked up a camera at the age of ten and has never set it down since. Some people are born with the talent and knowledge of what they should do in life Bob is one of those people. He has fulfilling his passion professionally since 1980. Bob was the first one to start shooting the 1980 Mt. St. Helens eruption for National Geographic magazine. In 1982, Bob started shooting motocross and has been addicted to speed every since. Bob became heavily involved working for Track and Field News and photographed events from Eugene to Rome. His image of World Olympic class athletes such as Edwin Moses, Carl Lewis, Arnold Palmer, and Mary Slaney, Mario Andrettie to Payne Stuart have been published internationally. Of course, Bob wondered how his images would look if they were moving so he picked up a video camera, and hasn't slowed down since....
